Training camp ticket sale set
By Sarah Lindenau - RedWingsCentral.com / June 17, 2009Tickets for the Detroit Red Wings' training camp in Traverse City, Mich., will go on sale on June 27 at Center Ice Arena. The sale runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Remaining tickets will be sold via fax after July 20.
The camp, which has been compressed because of the Red Wings' trip to Sweden, opens on Sept. 13 with a morning practice, while the gold-medal game will be placed Sept. 14 and the red-and-white game on Sept. 15.
The annual charity golf tournament and banquet will be held Sept. 11. An alumni versus management game is a possibility for Sept. 12.
The main camp follows the team's annual prospects tournament, which runs Sept. 6 to 10 and hosts the Atlanta Thrashers, New York Rangers, Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars, Minnesota Wild, St. Louis Blues and the Carolina Hurricanes. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door.
