- Finished second in Shawinigan scoring at age 19 with 74 points and had a team-best 44 helpers.

- Traded from Shawinigan to Chicoutimi for over-age season in the QMJHL.
- Exploded offensively with a sensational season (69-54-48-102).
- Led the QMJHL in goals, plus-minus (plus-41) and finished third in scoring.
- Claimed league MVP and was a QMJHL first-team all-star.

2008-09:
- Signed a minor-league contract with Red Wings' AHL affiliate, the Grand Rapids Griffins.
- Impressed at Red Wings prospects tournament and training camp in September.
- Enjoyed a productive AHL rookie campaign (61-23-24-47, 140 shots).
- Most impressive stat might have been his team-best plus-23, 11 pluses ahead of No. 2 on the list.
- Tied for 12th in the AHL in plus-minus and tied for the rookie lead with Karl Alzner.
- Signed a two-year contract with the Red Wings in April.
- Struggled to get offensive game going in post-season (10-2-2-4, seven shots).

- Opened AHL season with Grand Rapids mired in a horrible 21-game goalless slump (21-0-7-7).

- Placed fifth in team scoring and had a team-best plus-19 rating while firing 150 shots.
