| Leino was signed after being named Finland's player of the year in a breakthrough campaign. There is a good chance he will start the 2008-09 season in the American Hockey League with the Grand Rapids Griffins adapting to the rigors of North American hockey. If he hasn't earned a promotion to Detroit after a month or two, there is a strong possibility he will return to Finland for the 2008-09 season. |
