2003-04:
- Spent season with Minsk in Belarusian Elite League (52-1-6-7).
- Represented Belarus at world under-18 championship (6-1-0-1), ninth in PIMs (24).
- Selected by the Detroit Red Wings at 151st overall in NHL draft.
- Selected by Prince George Cougars of the WHL in the CHL import draft (second round, 57th overall).

2004-05:
- Politics kept Kolosov in Belarus for the season, preventing him from playing in the WHL.
- Represented Belarus at the WJC in Grand Forks, N.D. (six games, no points, minus-6).
- Spent most of the season playing with Dinamo Minsk of the Belarusian Elite League (37-2-6-8).
- Dropped from Prince George's list of eligible Europeans, leaving him without a CHL team.
- Transferred to HC Minsk late in year and appeared in nine playoff games.
- Signed on with Cedar Rapids of United States Hockey League in off-season.

2005-06:
- Had solid first season in North America with Cedar Rapids (50-2-8-10, plus-9).
- Earned five-game suspension for head-butting incident in October.
- Pointless (8-0-0-0, minus-1) in USHL playoffs as Cedar Rapids swept 3-0 by Des Moines in semis.
- Won gold with Belarus at second-level WJC in Minsk, Belarus.
- Led all second-level WJC defensemen in scoring (5-1-4-5, plus-7, 29 PIMs).

2006-07:
- Spent another season with Cedar Rapids in the USHL (51-1-10-11, 79 PIMs, 48 shots, minus-7).
- Went without a point and had a plus-4 in five post-season contests.

2007-08:
- Returned to top league in Belarus with Dinamo Minsk (47-4-6-10).
- Averaged 15:11 of ice time with Belarus at the IIHF world championship (6-0-0-0, minus-4).
- Signed two-year entry-level contract with Red Wings on June 25.

2008-09:
- Assigned to AHL and didn't miss a beat as a rookie with Grand Rapids.
- Put together a solid rookie campaign as a regular top-six defenceman (70-4-7-11, plus-1, 55 shots).
- Appeared in all 10 AHL playoff games and was second on team with a plus-4.
- Earned a call-up to Detroit as a Black Ace for part of the NHL playoffs.
