I'm going to blame Suh for this loss. The Lions were only trailing 7-0, and the defense had just put a huge red zone stop on the Packers... then Suh pulls his chickenshit antics, gives them a first down at the goal-line, and of course they score, and the heart of their defense is gone the rest of the game. If Suh isn't an idiot, the Pack only goes up 10-0 and the Lions are still very much alive. The team collapsed after that.

Suh's going to get suspended as well. Not only was that the turning point of the game, it could turn out to be the turning point of the season. The worst part of the situation is he is completely denying any responsibility.

"I was on top of a guy being pulled down and trying to get up off the ground, which is why you see me pushing his helmet down," Suh said. "As I'm getting up, I'm getting pushed so I'm getting myself unbalanced. ... With that a lot of people are going to interpret it as or create their own storylines, ... but I know what I did, and the man upstairs knows what I did."

Yeah.... that looks like a guy just trying to retain his balance

What did they say 8 interceptions in his last 2 and a half games? Yah that would qualify as sucking.

5 int and 19 touchdowns in his first 8....yeah that would qualify as one of the best in the league.

And let's look at the "great" teams Detroit beat during those first 8 games shall we.

Tampa Bay
Kansas City
Minnesota
Dallas
Chicago
Denver

A combined amazing record of 29-32

BTW they lost to Atlanta and San Francisco during those 8 games too.

and? he's been playing with a broken index finger. We barely lost the San Fran and Atlanta game so he played well there well enough to win. You don't find it a LITTLE coincidental that Broken index finger then all of a sudden he throws 100 picks? The lions aren't a great team, far from it but in 3 years they've gone from 0-16 to this, it's a big big deal.

He's always hurt that's the problem Resmo. He's played 3 NFL seasons and been in hurt in every one of them.

Someone get a time machine got back to 2005 draft and instead of taking yet another receiver in Mike Williams Detroit can draft Aaron Rodgers instead. In fact maybe redo the entire Lions draft for that year while they're at it.
What do the Leafs and the Titanic have in common? They both look good until they hit the ice.

Aaron Rodgers was drafted into a great situation in Green Bay. He had several seasons to sit on the bench and learn the offense while Brett Favre was still around. When he became the starter, he already had a solid team around him. Had the Lions drafted him, he'd have started right away with a awful team, and his career would have mirrored that of Joey Harrington.

You sure like playing the "we should have drafted ____" game. Unfortunately, nothing is as cut and dry as you like to think it is in the oversimplified world you live in.

Also he's had a good season. You're looking at a QB in his 3rd year really coming in to his own. How do you keep him from getting hurt? Draft a new right side of the line, trashford as you like to call him is developing nicely if we get leshoure back and some o-line we're looking at a contender.

See my earlier comment, he knows less about football than he does hockey.
Reggie Dunlop: What are you guys doing?
Steve Hanson: Puttin' on the foil!
Jeff Hanson: Every game!

Opponents don't matter. If you want to play that game, someone will just find a team who won the SB but could've been called overrated earlier in the season because of cake opponents.

the problem is he's fairly knowledgable about hockey, it's not his knowledge that's stupid, it's HIS OPINIONS, where he comes up with some idea and apparently that's the only way to do things. Also he takes THN prospect report as the gospel despite never seeing most of those kids play.

I think Suh was being stupid with that kick for every reason but kicking the guy. I personally couldn't give a shit if he did it. But it's the public reaction that will taint him almost permanently. When a reputation snowballs eventually people don't even know why they think a player is (dirty, respectable, etc). They just think it.

What I find stupid though is if he kicked a guy anytime from 1940 to 1980 or so, he'd be called a hard nosed, intimidating player who didn't take any shit. Kick him now? ZOMG WON'T SOMEBODY PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN!?

What I find stupid though is if it was a Green Bay Packer that had stomped a Lion on Thursday, you'd be crying all about how that player should be suspended for the rest of the season.
