Tigers VS Yankees

Congrats to the Tigers on a great season regardless.... Now having said that

And also a special thanks to the Angels for benching all there pitchers and bending over for Texas.... but as hot as Texas is, maybe it just as well

How do oyu all think the TIGERS Matchup with the YANKEES

I think it is absolutely imperative they get at least a split in NY to start... Can;t argue that

But even with a split, it is two more games until Verlander and Fister can pitch again...

I don;t have much faith with any other starter vs the Yankees...

If Verlander and Fister win their starts, we win.. if not... I dont like our chances.

Sound off yall.... we have not had a division title here since 1987

If it makes you feel any better, the Tigers have won four straight, the Yankees have lost four straight. Technically we are going up against the team with the worst streak right now.

Their pitching staff behind CC and the rookie is not scary. This Tigers team, IMO, is MUCH better than the one that beat the Yanks in '06, and this Yanks team isn't as good as they were in '06, again, IMO.

Tigers match up well with the Yanks.

I'm still recovering from the games last night, wow. Best regular season night of baseball EVER.

Also, if you can't beat them, then you don't deserve anything. This season is already a success but a trip to the World Series would be awesome.

I agree with everything except maybe the bolded part. I'm torn, because of Jeter's past history, but I don't know if right now I would rank him higher than Peralta. Peralta has better stats this season than Jeter in both hitting and fielding.

Verlander did not have his best stuff last time out, I hope it is not an omen...

I went with Jeter based solely on history and previous playoff performances so it's more of a toss up
