Unranked Arizona (4-6) putting the hurt on #2 Oregon

31-11 with 5:30 left in the first half. Arizona just returned a punt for a TD. Things are looking good for Oklahoma/Kansas.

What an insane season! God help the #2 ranked team, every week.

Oregon was really looking great, for awhile. Well, everyone has to lose a game or two, this year.

As a KU fan, I'm hoping that either Oklahoma jumps us in the BCS (okay, not really) or LSU loses, so we can avoid the #2 spot. Actually, I'm just along for the ride in this miracle season, and continue to be proud of the team...

Well, things are beginning to shape up for the BCS NC game. With Kansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri in the 2, 3, 4 slots (for the moment), the Big 12 is almost guarenteed to have a representative in the big game. One of those three teams will win out and go on to play LSU or WV or (god forbid) OSU.

Ha-ha.

I watched a little of that game. Ryan Leaf’s little brother sucks more than Mallet. And Oregon’s defense dropped a deuce, just as Michigan’s did against Wisconsin.

Two things strike me about this game:

1) Oregon needs to know, they are not allowed to use the pathetic excuse of losing their QB. Don't they know, you're supposed to have a hungry, talented backup, ready to go at a moment's notice?

2) Should UM beat OSU, it's looking good/bad for a UM/Oregon rematch in the Rose Bowl. Aye caramba, Superfan! Save us!

I don't care who the QB is, a supposedly good football team (#2) should not have a defense that allows 31 points to a 4-6 opponent.

Nor should an allegedly #12 team give up 37 points to an unranked opponent missing two of its best offensive players.

(Nor should an allegedly #5 team give up 34 to a DI-AA team).

I'm pretty sure that this makes Notre Dame BCS Bowl eligible if they can beat Duke this weekend.

Funny.

What’s not so funny to us non-Irish fans is that contractually UND still gets a $1.5 million pay-out from the BCS this season. :x

It's good to be the king, even when you suck so bad that you lost 2 home games to the academies and are currently rated 107 out of 120 teams.
