This isn't about what makes me happy. It's about whatever it takes to get you out of the disorientation/denial phase and well on your way to acceptance. I figure a year ought to do it. In the meantime, I'm here for you...just to listen while you cry it out.

You're quite right, Y19. As always, your observations are spot-on. How do you do it?

Hey, nice win for the Sparties over Northwestern last week. Looking good for Indiana, who are bound to be hungover from back-to-back wins over Iowa and Minnesota. MSU in the thick of things, with that dynamite rushing-attack and brilliant new coach.

Honestly, it's great to have our cross-state rivals back.

I'd feel the same way if my team struggled to defeat its MAC next-door neighbor.

"Struggled?" No, not a struggle. More like cruise-control, and avoiding injuries while keeping the lid on. We got the early 10-0 lead, and went into vacation-mode a tad early. When it got a little tight in the third, UM rolled off 17 unanswered points to close the third period, put the game out of reach. Yawn.

Just because they were pre-ranked number 5 doesn't mean they deserved it. This is just one of the reasons I hate college football. One loss and the season is over. USC was given a 48 point spread on that game, I'm sure Michigan's was probably pretty close against APP State.

I play hockey and I fornicate, cause those are the two most fun things to do in cold weather.

We're way ahead of you, Someguy. Moved through all those stages by about 4 pm, the day of the App State loss.

Actually, it is you who are stuck in a psychological mire. Freud talked about five psychosexual stages of development, and the tragedies associated with being stuck at any particular one. His five stages of human development included the oral stage, the anal stage, the phallic stage, the latency stage, and the genital stage. In each stage there is an need for gratification that must be met. If it is not met, the individual is forced to replay his frustrations in a multitude of situations, sometimes for the rest of his/her life.

I'm not going to engage in armchair-analysis publicly, right now. I leave it to you, to meditate upon your own feelings and thought-processes in regards to one particular Saturday of football, and why you are compelled to keep flinging poo at the other primates like a crazed chimp in a bad roadside zoo. Not that there's anything wrong with that. We all have to deal with our insecurities, in our own charming ways.
