Booster Club Awards

The Griffins Booster club had their annual awards banquet last night

Mr Hustle. Jordan Owens
Unsung Hero Jordan Pearce
Best Dman Meech
Best Forward Tatar
MVP Jamie Tardif

Not exactly how I voted but a good case could be made for all of these.

Ilari Filppula is 10th in AHL scoring and leads Grand Rapids in points yet he isnt the best forward or MVP yah that makes sense
What do the Leafs and the Titanic have in common? They both look good until they hit the ice.

I think IFlip and Pare both were hurt a bit by timing. Votes had to be in a few weeks ago and those two have gone on hot streaks since then. At the time I completed my vote Filpula and Tatar had very similar numbers with Tatar playing in fewer games. That plus the fact that Tatar plays more physical and is 7-9 years younger was the tipping point in my mind. Those two were pretty much even in my mind.
