A Rod will beat it, 31 and hes almost at 500 which took bond till he was 36. With how easy baseball is on the body (compaired to other sports) he has 10+ Seasons left in him

True. Unless he is sidelined by a serious injury for a long time, A-Rod should be able to get to 800. I don't like him at all, but I sure as hell would rather see him with the record than Barry.

He has 32? on the year so far im pretty sure he can hit atleast 30 a year. Say he plays maybe 10-13 more years thats 300-390 im pretty sure if he keeps up his production he can get 900 but its likely he will get 800

I blame 'em all.....the union, the GMs, the commissioner.....all for looking away on a growing problem (you know, like that Flomax commercial, you don't have a going problem, you have a 'growing' problem. LOL.) McGuire looked like an alien when he broke Maris's record. And that money grubbing Bud Selig, I blame you, you swine, that I cannot watch the Tigers this year on Dish Extra Innings because of that exclusive contract you engineered. I hope you come down with leprosy. It's all about the money. Follow the money. HRs mean money, steriods means HRs, and Bonds is just our poster boy for an epidemic problem.

Bonds is the poster child for steroid use in part because he is an ass. the guy just isn't well liked. Macquire was out of the game right when the steroid scandal broke. Hell, he helped break with his use of Andro. Palmero opened his mouth in the " I didn't have sexual relations" finger waving rant that led to him getting the scarlet letter release form the league. Giambi admitted it and is cooperating so he gets some relief.

HOWEVER

the guy who should be getting some flack and is not, is one Roger Clemmens. His rookie year was about 200 pounds today 240. Didn't Jason Grimsley named him, as well as his buddy Andy Pettitte, as users of athletic performance enhancing drugs? Didn't Grimsley say he he recived human growth hormone from someone recommended to him by, former Yankees trainer Brian McNamee. Isn't McNamee a personal strength coach for Clemens and Pettitte. McNamee was hired by Clemens in 1997, wasn't this the year in which he had his best season? Didn't he win 4 more Cy Young Awards after that? I think 16 players have been suspended for steroids and at least 10 were pitchers.

So Barry hit home runs using the cream and pitchers threw fastballs to him using the cream. Not saying it was right but Bonds is chasing some record this sport has made mystical, while being an arrogant, distant putz. Really if he were 130 pounds, he would still be disliked.

i did hear he was pushing for his dog to be the new giant mascot.

I agree Clemens looks very suspicious to me. Have you seen Sosa lately. That guy is literally half the man he used to be.

Could it be that Clemens is just plain fat? I've noticed he was bigger for awhile now but, thought he just got fat.
As for Bonds, I hope A-Rod does pass him up. I think it would be funny that all the crap Bonds did to get bigger so he could go after the record would be meaningless if A-Rod passed him playing clean. Bonds would just become that No.2 guy.
