Delmon Young Arrested in NY

Detroit Tigers outfielder was arrested at 2:40 a.m. today outside a hotel in New York City, according to the New York Post.

Sources told the Post that police were called to the hotel shortly before 3 a.m. after Young pushed a man to the ground. Sources told the Post that Young was "highly intoxicated."

Calls and text messages seeking comment from the Detroit Tigers were not immediately returned this morning.


According to the report, Young was charged with assault in the third degree. The person he was alleged to have pushed to the ground suffered scratches on his arm and was treated at the scene.
