A truly good team will overcome calls like that and win.
It's a nice ideal. But when two teams are closely matched, sometimes a bad call or two is enough to swing the game. It's easy to say "If they were better, they'd have overcome it" but sometimes it's not that easy.
If you're closely matched, a gift TD on a bad pass interference call, or a possession wrongfully given back to the other team can make all the difference.
I'm not talking about a specific example in particular--or even this game--but people who say things like "if they were a good team they would've overcome those bad calls" at any mention of the officiating really bug me.
I'd agree that sometimes teams/fans are too quick to blame the refs as a cop-out, but sometimes it's not as easy to overcome it as you make it sound.
