Santiago is good enough not to be an issue at second. He's hit like .265 over the last five years or so, and he's great defenslively at second. The only knock on him is that he's not durable enough to be an everyday player. Why not? He doesn't have injury problems as far as I know.

Maybe not an issue, but he doesn't bring anything to the team. He's an average batter with average power, and he's an average fielder. When has he ever been great at second?
