What is your source for this statement? Are you in Finland? Do you know the coach? Please provide a link that substantiates your comment.

You should read the post from Finland below! He is dealing with an injury and pain:

Apparently Quine and Almqvist will both be playing for Grand Rapids shortly

Nice call. It's official. Looks like Almqvist has been assigned, where as Quine and Nedomlel have been signed to amateur tryouts.

Jurco has started the playoffs on fire. He has 3 goal, 8 assists and 11 points  in the four game sweep of Cape Breton. I don't think this kid needs to spend another year in juniors. Get him to GR A.S.A.P.

Isn't he still 19? I don't think they can put him in AHL yet.

As ong as he turns 20 before the end of 2012 he can play for the Griffs next year, he turns 20 in December, he will play for the Griffs next year if he doesn't make the Wings

Actually, I believe they can. He turns 20 in December of 2012, which makes him eligible to be placed in the AHL. If he turned 20 in 2013, then you would be correct. I am pretty sure about this, but don't have any link for support. Could be wrong.

Here is a quote from his RWC profile page

The Red Wings didn’t feel good enough about Jurco to take him 24th overall in the 2011 draft, but they traded down for an extra pick and got him 35th. They landed a player with exciting upside and are hoping he will explode offensively in the QMJHL before turning pro, possibly in the American Hockey League as early as 2012-13.

Can't wait to see him in GR next year. Going to be a lot of good young players in the AHL.

Can't wait to see him on Dat's wing in 2013.

Franzen - Dats - Jurco
Flip - Z - Nyquist
Bert - Helm - Miller
Mursak - Abby - Eaves/Andersson/Emmerton/?
“He actually looks like Chris Pronger,” Babcock said. “He doesn’t cross-check and that stuff, but he does the rest.”
